Problem
The newly established Hamilton Centre required a robust digital platform that could meet the diverse needs of its audience whilst aligning with the centre’s vision of integrated care.
By facilitating the sharing of valuable information and resources, Grade sought to empower the Hamilton Centre team in transforming how service providers, individuals, and their families interacted with and benefitted from its services.
Established in 2023, Hamilton Centre is a statewide specialist centre for addiction and mental health services managed by Turning Point. It was created following the Victorian Government's investment in integrated care, as recommended by the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System (2021).
Taking into account the need for optimal functionality, usability and scalability with a diverse audience that included 3 distinct user groups (Service Providers, Individuals and Families and Carers), our challenge lay in designing a user-centric website that not only provided essential information but also facilitated engagement, education, and support for individuals seeking help or resources related to addiction and mental health. Additionally, the website needed to integrate seamlessly with existing platforms, offer flexibility for future growth, and adhere to industry standards and best practices.
Recognising the opportunity to leverage digital solutions to enhance accessibility, awareness, and support for mental health and addiction services, Grade proposed a comprehensive development plan, closely collaborating with brand partners Supersolid to bring Hamilton Centre’s new brand identity to life. This plan aimed to address the challenges faced by the Hamilton Centre team while capitalising on the opportunity to create a transformative digital experience for users.

Results
With a focus on scalability and flexibility, the redesigned website empowers the Hamilton Centre team to adapt to evolving user needs and technological advancements.
Over 4,000 new unique users since the website launch
Over 700 unique users visiting the Events page
300 referrals since the website launch, taking total referrals since the Centre launched in April 2023 to almost 1000 referrals (as of June 2024)
Enhanced accessibility features ensure inclusivity and facilitate the sharing of valuable resources and information with the community, transforming how the centre interacts with service providers, individuals, and their families, such as:
A training calendar offering professional development opportunities on co-occurring conditions, along with the latest news and research in the field.
A new podcast series on co-occurring conditions, catering to individuals, families, and workers seeking insights into integrated care.
The website hosts the Hamilton Centre Educational program, designed to enhance the capabilities of workers in Victoria's mental health and AOD sectors.
Service providers have shared that "The referral form is pretty straightforward and user-friendly, making it easier for healthcare workers to access support for their clients." (Medina Bajrektarevic, Social Worker)
